Flora Europaea perennial, H Carpathians around the Iron Gates defile of the Danube, in Serbia, south-west Romania and western most Bulgaria Orno-Cotinetalia, Stipio pulcherrimae - Festucetalia pallentis R3416-3417, R3123-3124, 3126-3127       This is a species of St John's wort which is very typical for the mountains around the Iron Gates, being a regional endemic. Under Biliana massif, near Arjana crest, Cerna Mountains, Caras-Severin county, 7th of July 2006. it is a matter of concern that the species was not found anymore there in the expeditions from 2008 and 2009 following the same route. dr.
